1) General information for subscription and enrollment:
The subscription shall be completed electronically, with documents described in item 2 of this
Notice and sent in PDF format in a single folder for ppg.locomotor@usp.br with the subject:

Incomplete or delayed documentation will not be accepted by the Graduate Program in Health
Sciences Applied to the Locomotor System.
The approval in the admission examination procedures will only be in force for one semester,
following the rule that the enrollment of all applicants approved in a given admission
examination is carried out before the next examination procedure or until the end of that
term.
The applicant who is selected shall present a copy of the documents requested in the
subscription, along with the original copy for verification by the department of the Graduate
Program in Science Health Applied to the Locomotor System.
Simultaneous enrollment in more than one Master’s or Ph.D. course is forbidden at the
University of São Paulo.
2. Documents required for subscription and enrollment:
2.1 Subscription and initial enrollment form filled out. They are available at
2.2 Copy of the undergraduate diploma duly notarized (front and back) or copy of the
Certificate of Completion with the date.
For certificates, it is necessary the undergraduate diploma issued within one year from the
date of Graduate enrollment.
2.3 Copy of the Undergraduate School Record with the date of graduation (concluded).
2.4 Copy of the Master diploma or certificate of completion (or certificate with the estimated
date for the dissertation defense and Master’s degree, which must be before the first day of
enrollment) and Master Record from a course recognized by CAPES (with a grade equal to or
greater than 3) for Ph.D. candidates with Master.
2.5- 01 recent ID-size photo or passport model, with a white background;
2.6- Copy of Birth or Marriage Certificate (or equivalent document for foreigners);
2.7- Copy of Identity Card (ID or equivalent document for foreigners) (Professional
Registrations or driver’s license will not be accepted);
2.8- Copy of the Voter Certificate card (except for foreigners);
2.9- Copy of the Military Documents (except for foreigners);
2.10- Copy of CPF (except for foreigners);
2.11- Proficiency in English: Applicants for the Master, Ph.D., and Direct Ph.D. shall
demonstrate Proficiency in English in the subscription for the admission examination
procedures, which can be demonstrated with a copy of the Certificate. TEAP, TOEFL,
ALLUMINI, IELTS, CAMBRIDGE, or MICHIGAN will be accepted considering grades equal or
higher than 60% for the Master and 70% for the Ph.D. and Direct Ph.D. These certificates must
have been issued up to five years before the subscription date for the program.
Other equivalent exams may be evaluated by the CCP upon the applicants’ request.
2.12- Receipt of the subscription fee (R$ 214.00 – two hundred and fourteen reais), to be paid
by invoice, payable up to seven days after the invoice issuance, available at
http://boletos.fmrp.usp.br . There will be no refund of the subscription fee under any
circumstances.
3. Documents required for registration:
3.1 Detailed research project, with a maximum of 20 pages, containing: introduction, material,
results of the pilot experiment or partial results, if available, bibliographic references
(VANCOUVER system), and schedule of activities to be developed;
3.2 – Proof of the project protocol submitted to the Ethics Committee in Animal or Human
Research and/or the project approval certificate at the CEP or even the waiver of the need for
referral to the Ethics Committee in Research (for research without involving patients,
volunteers, or animals such as in experiments carried out to test implants in a laboratory or
biomechanical models, an evaluation by the Coordinating Committee Program is necessary to
confirm that the research is exempt from being examined by ethics committees);
3.3 – Curriculum Vitae updated up to 30 days before enrollment (preferably LATTES:
http://lattes.cnpq.br, without binding). The receipts shall be delivered separately.
4. Documents for enrollment (in addition to the documents submitted for subscription):
4.1- Copy of valid ID and temporary visa or permanent authorization to study in Brazil.
Examples of these documents: National Migration Registration Card, Foreign National
Registration, or Protocol and Passport for foreign candidates.
Note: The subscription and enrollment of students may be exceptionally authorized for foreign
applicants in graduate programs with a passport and a student visa, and the registration/
issuance of a Foreigner Identity Card issued by the Federal Police. After attending the Federal
Police on the scheduled date, the student shall present at the Graduate Secretariat the
protocol/document issued with the Foreign National Registration number. The student shall
regularize the registration on Janus in 15 days.
5. SELECTION CRITERIA (PROGRAM-SPECIFIC):
The admission procedures will be carried out by professors from the Graduate Program in
“Health Sciences Applied to the Locomotor System”.
A review process of the test may be requested by the candidate within ten working days from
the date of disclosure of the grades, upon request to the Program Coordinator.
Master's
1) Written test, in which scientific reasoning skills and interpretation of results will be
assessed. The written test will be calculated from zero to ten and will score in the grade and
final ranking.
2) Curriculum vitae evaluation and discussion. This evaluation will be calculated from zero to
ten and will score in the grade and final ranking. The evaluation criteria of the curriculum vitae
for the Master's course are:

Scientific initiation PIBIC or similar 1 point per project
Two Complete scientific papers in indexed journals (Pubmed/Scopus/Web of Knowledge) 1
point per full article
Scientific papers published in non-indexed journal 0.5 points per paper
Attendance in scientific events (speaker, listener, moderator, etc.) 0.2 points per participation
Total of 10
3) Analysis of the research project and discussion: according to the Program line of research.
The research project will be calculated from zero to ten and will score in the grade and final
ranking.
For the Master's course, the curriculum vitae will have a score of three, the project will have a
score of four, and the admission test will have a score of three. The minimum average for
approval will be 5.0.
Note: Students who obtain a final grade equal to or greater than five will be classified and
selected and may be accepted in the Master's degree program upon the availability of an
advisor and according to the number of vacancies informed in this Notice.
Ph.D. degree
1) Written test, in which scientific reasoning skills and interpretation of results will be
assessed. The written test will be calculated from zero to ten and will score in the grade and
final ranking.
2) Curriculum vitae evaluation and discussion. This evaluation will be calculated from zero to
ten and will score in the grade and final ranking. The evaluation criteria of the curriculum vitae
for the Ph.D. course are:

Involvement in the Master in activities related to undergraduate courses, collaboration in
scientific initiation project (PIBIC) 1 point per project
Scientific papers in indexed journals (Pubmed/Scopus/Web of Knowledge) along with the
advisor and derived from the Dissertation 2 points per full article
Scientific papers published in indexed journals (Pubmed/Scopus/Web of Knowledge) 1 point
per paper
Attendance in scientific events (speaker, listener, moderator, etc.) 0.2 points per participation
Total of 10
3) Analysis of the research project and discussion: according to the Program line of research.
The research project will be calculated from zero to ten and will score in the grade and final
ranking.
For the Ph.D. course, the curriculum vitae will have a score of 4, the project will have a score of
four, and the admission test will have a score of 2. The minimum average for approval will be
6.0.
Note: Students who obtain a final grade equal to or greater than six will be classified and
selected and may be accepted in the Ph.D. program upon the availability of an advisor and
according to the number of vacancies informed in this Notice.
Direct Ph.D.:
1) Written test, in which scientific reasoning skills and interpretation of results will be
assessed. The written test will be calculated from zero to ten and will score in the grade and
final ranking.
2) Curriculum vitae evaluation and discussion. This evaluation will be calculated from zero to
ten and will score in the grade and final ranking. The evaluation criteria of the curriculum vitae
for the Direct Ph.D. are:

The Direct Ph.D. applicant shall present at least one paper as the first author or two papers as
the co-author in international scientific journals, published or accepted for publication, or a
patent, and have completed graduate courses with a total of 300 hours.
3) Analysis of the research project and discussion: according to the line of research of the
program. The research project will be calculated from zero to ten and will score in the grade
and final ranking.
For the Direct Ph.D. course, the curriculum vitae will have a score of 5, the project will have a
score of three, and the admission test will have a score of 2. The minimum average for
approval will be 7.0.
Note: Students who obtain a final grade equal to or greater than seven will be classified and
selected and may be accepted in the Ph.D. program upon the availability of an advisor and
according to the number of vacancies informed in this Notice.
The admission procedures of applicants enrolled through the Academic Cooperation Term
between FMRP and INTO: Applicants enrolled in INTO will be allowed to take the tests at that
Institute (date, time, and other guidelines) will be announced at
https://pglocomotor.fmrp.usp.br , as long as there is an indication of a professor or researcher
responsible, preferably with a Ph.D. in charge of applying the test. The test questions credited
will be electronically sent to this person. The answers will be handwritten and sent
electronically, at a pre-established time, to the program coordinator, who will deliver a copy to
the organizing committee.

requested by the program.
Applications from candidates who present incomplete or out-of-date documentation will not
be accepted.
Applicants are responsible for all information provided.
IMPORTANT – the “invoice” system for enrolling THIS PROGRAM, will only be available during
the subscription period described in the Notice. Attention to the name of the program “Health
Sciences Applied to the Locomotor System” for correct filling.
If the applicant does not pay attention to the above information and does not properly
complete the enrollment in this program, there will be a mistake of being enrolled in another
program at this University. The program will not be responsible for the candidate's mistakes.

the payment slip paid, no payment scheduling option will be accepted.
